One of the most impressive exhibits is that of the boy-King Tutankhamun which displays over 5,000 artefacts that were recovered from his tomb, including his gold mask.

As you enter the museum, you can't miss the colossal statue of King Ramses II, nor the 87 huge royal artefacts exhibited at the grand stairs that lead up to an impressive 28-meter-high glass façade overlooking the pyramids of Giza.

Enjoy Set-Menu Lunch inside the GEM complex.

Day 3 / (Friday) July 30th, 2027:

Pick-up to visit Necropolis of Sakkara (including entry to Step Pyramid & Mereruka tomb).  Set-Menu lunch at 9 Pyramids Lounge.  Continue to visit Pyramids of Giza & Sphinx (including entry to Cheops Pyramid).  Finish tour & return to hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel to start your tour.
Sakkara is the former necropolis (cemetery) for the ancient Egyptian city of Memphis and the place where the very first pyramids were built as tombs for kings. Instead of the smooth sides featured on other pyramids, the pyramids here feature six steps on the outside, representing the pharaoh's stepladder to heaven.

Included in your tour is entry to Step Pyramid and Mereruka Tomb.

Discover the famous Step Pyramid of King Zoser, the first pyramid ever built and the world's oldest freestanding stone structure. You could also admire the beautiful tomb art at Sakkara, which gives great insight into the lives of the ancient Egyptians.

Enjoy Set-Menu lunch at 9 Pyramids Lounge.

A spectacular and unique restaurant venue by Orascom Pyramids Entertainment, featuring the most spectacular Great Pyramids view. Serving a la carte breakfast, lunch, & drinks in a remote, open-sided scenic location worthy of its name.

After lunch continue to visit Pyramids of Giza & Sphinx.

The Great Pyramids of Giza are the only present-day survivors of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, built over 4,500 years ago as giant tombs for the mummies of the pharaohs Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, who were father, son and grandson respectively.

The pyramids are truly monumental in scale, with the largest - Khufu's - constructed from over two million blocks. Contrary to popular beliefs, the pyramids were not built by slaves but by Egyptian peasants, whose labor in building the pyramids paid their taxes to the Pharaoh, who also fed, clothed and housed them.

Included in your tour is entry to Cheops Pyramid.

Nearby the Pyramids sits the enigmatic Sphinx with the body of a lion and the face of a man wearing a royal head cloth, which workers may have based on King Khafre to guard his enormous funerary monument. About a thousand years after the Sphinx was built it was covered in sand until a young prince had a dream in which the Sphinx told him that if he cleared the sand away, he would become Pharaoh. This story is told on the “Dream Stela” that was placed between the Sphinx’s paws by King Tuthmose IV.

At the end of your tour, you are transferred to your hotel.

The remainder of the evening is at leisure.

Dinner tonight is under your own arrangements.

Standard Room City View - Double - Fairmont Nile City – 25 Rooms (Run of the House)

Day 4 / (Saturday) July 31st, 2027:

Pick-up to visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization “NMEC”.  Set-menu lunch at Naguib Mahfouz restaurant at Khan El Khalili Bazaar.  Continue to visit Islamic Cairo including 02 mosques.  Finish tour & return to hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Meet your guide in the lobby of your hotel to start your tour.
The first veritable museum of civilization in Egypt, the newly inaugurated NMEC is located on the archaeological site of El-Fustat in Old Cairo, overlooking the Ain El-Seera Lake.

The museum showcases Egyptian civilization from prehistoric times to the present day, using a multidisciplinary approach that highlights the country’s comprehensive heritage.

The collections are displayed in a core permanent exhibition of the principal achievements of Egyptian civilization, with six thematic galleries covering the Dawn of Civilization, The Nile, Writing, State and Society, Material Culture, Beliefs and Thinking and the Gallery of Royal Mummies.

Next, visit the fascinating Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, reputed to be the largest bazaar in the Middle East. Originally founded as a watering stop for caravanserai in the 14th century, the bazaar has now grown to vast proportions. Wander through the labyrinth of narrow streets to find workshops and stalls selling all manner of things, from woodwork and glassware to leather goods and perfumes.

Enjoy Set-Menu lunch at Naguib Mahfouz Restaurant.

Named after the Nobel-prize-winning Egyptian author, Naguib Mahfouz restaurant lies in the very heart of the Khan El-Khalili Bazaar making it a convenient, air-conditioned place to take a break from shopping. The coffee shop at the entrance offers drinks, snacks, and shisha (water pipes), while the restaurant section offers a selection of chicken, meats and mouth-watering Middle Eastern mezzas (small appetizers). Please note that alcohol is not served here.

Continue your tour after lunch to visit Islamic Cairo.

With its grand, soaring architecture and rich decoration, the Mosque of Sultan Hassan, completed in 1363, is one of the finest in Egypt and houses the mausoleum where Sultan Hassan's sons are buried.

A short walk across to the Mosque of Sultan Hassan, discover the much newer Refaie Mosque, completed in 1912 with well-preserved, colorful decoration. Buried in tombs there is a Muslim saint, a companion of the Prophet Mohamed, Egypt's last royal family and the last Shah of Iran.

Your Tour Coordinator will escort you to Cairo Domestic Airport by air-conditioned vehicle.
Board your Egypt-Air flight to Luxor.
Arrive at Luxor Airport & start your tour directly from airport.
The ancient Egyptians stopped building pyramids as royal tombs after thieves stole all the treasures inside and instead started burying their royalty in secret tombs at Thebes, today's West Bank of Luxor. Here, you can explore the Valley of the Kings, where New Kingdom pharaohs were buried in hidden tombs, maintaining their richly painted hues and treasures for their use in the afterlife.
You will have the chance to enter the small tomb of the famed boy-king Tutankhamun. For centuries the entrance was hidden by debris, safeguarding its discovery until 1922. Although king Tut was not an important pharaoh, the unpreceded treasures found inside ensured his place in history. Tut’s treasures are now in the Egyptian museum in Cairo.

At 137m long and decorated all over with some of Ancient Egypt's finest art, the Tomb of the Pharaoh Seti I is the one of the more impressive. It was discovered in 1817 and is undoubtedly the best-preserved tombs in the Valley of the Kings. The art that you see here, set the precedent for all the tombs that followed.

You also have the chance to visit at least one tomb in the Valley of the Queens. The highlight is visiting the beautiful tomb of Queen Nefertari, Ramses II's beloved wife. It is said to be the finest tomb in Egypt, with vividly colored work and a ceiling painted with stars, giving an idea of how other, now faded, tombs would have looked in their day.

Rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Ancient Egypt's only female Pharaoh) merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it, as if nature herself had built this extraordinary monument.

On the way back to the river Nile, pass by the famed Colossi of Memnon, known in Ancient Greek times for their haunting voices at dawn.

At the end of your tour, you are transferred to your Amwaj Nile Cruise.

Board your five-star-deluxe Nile cruise boat and receive a warm welcome from the crew.
Lunch will be served on board in the main restaurant.
